Chinese tourists to the rescue in California

country, has sent California, the most populous state in the United States, a
very expensive and in-demand gift. Chinese travelers have become the single
biggest overseas spenders in the beach-lined state, with each Chinese visitor
forking over an average of US$6,800 during their stays, according to Huang
Zhiheng (黄芷蘅), chief China representative of the California Travel and
